What began as a breezy, desi take on Sex and the City finally bows out with a season that looks lavish but feels emotionally hollow. Four More Shots Please! Season 4 exists more out of obligation than inspiration, delivering a glossy farewell that lacks purpose or impact.

The season opens with Siddhi marrying Mihir after much hesitation, only to realise that marriage does not guarantee emotional or sexual compatibility. Damini launches a podcast with her brother but remains stuck in her unresolved feelings for Jeh. Anjana allows herself romance again and finds comfort in Rohan, while Umang’s professional success at her gym contrasts with her unhealed personal life.

Maanvi Gagroo stands out with a nuanced performance, effectively portraying Siddhi’s discomfort and confusion within marriage. Kirti Kulhari appears at ease but is given little dramatic weight. Sayani Gupta is sincere but let down by weak writing, while Bani J’s performance remains stiff and emotionally distant. Dino Morea’s relaxed presence surprisingly works, though Kunaal Roy Kapur and Rajeev Siddhartha make minimal impact.

Narratively, the show feels exhausted. Much like Season 3, this instalment strings together unresolved ideas without offering fresh insight or direction. Except for Siddhi’s intimacy issues which are handled with some sensitivity  the conflicts rarely resonate. When the creators seem unsure of how to proceed, they settle for a forced happy ending that offers closure without conviction.

Technically, the series remains impressive. The cinematography, costumes, and exotic locales are visually appealing, often masking the thin writing beneath. Mikey McCleary’s music and background score are stylish but largely forgettable.

Ultimately, Season 4 feels like a beautifully packaged product with very little left to say. It is unfortunate that a show which once promised so much ends on such a muted, inconsequential note.

Verdict:
Only recommended if you enjoy glossy visuals and stylish settings  or a well-shot Goa tourism ad.
