Insiders confirm that Mahesh will dedicate the entirety of 2026 to the shoot, leaving little scope for other commitments during that period.
Despite the long wait, the competition among top producers to lock Mahesh Babu’s next project has already begun. Mythri Movie Makers, who have been associated with several blockbuster ventures, reportedly approached the star with a hefty advance. However, the latest entrant in this race is Asian Suniel, one of the most influential distributors and exhibitors in the Telugu industry.
What makes this move particularly interesting is Mahesh Babu’s personal equation with Asian Suniel. Both share a close bond as partners in AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad’s premium multiplex chain. Leveraging this rapport, Suniel has proposed a high-profile collaboration: a film directed by none other than Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Vanga, who carved a niche for himself with Arjun Reddy and cemented his pan-India status with Kabir Singh and Animal, has already committed to doing a film with Asian Suniel. Sources recall that during the release of Arjun Reddy, the filmmaker accepted an advance from Suniel, assuring a future collaboration. With Mahesh Babu in the picture, this promise could finally materialize.
Industry chatter suggests that Sandeep has already pitched a story idea tailored for Mahesh Babu’s larger-than-life screen persona. However, no official confirmation has come from either camp. Given that Mahesh has ample time before wrapping up Rajamouli’s project, the actor is expected to evaluate all his options before making a final decision.
