Tollywood seems to be experiencing a spiritual resurgence, with mythological and devotional themes making a strong comeback. Following the success of films inspired by divine feminine energy, a new wave of ‘Ammoru’-centric stories is brewing in the industry.
In this wave, producer Dil Raju’s camp is developing a project titled Ellamma, which draws inspiration from the traditional Ammoru (goddess) genre. The film is being directed by Venu, best known for his work in Balagam.
Adding to the trend, another title—Maremmma—has recently been registered. This film marks the launch of a new hero: Madhav, the son of actor Raghu and nephew of mass maharaja Ravi Teja.
